Cloud improvement features are opt-in. Audio files are never uploaded for transcript refinement.
Transcrible is designed to keep your data on your device. Voice notes, audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, action items, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s secure storage frameworks.
You may optionally enable cloud improvement features to enhance transcript quality, generate summaries, and extract action items. When enabled, the following data may be sent to the Transcrible backend:
Audio files are never uploaded. Only transcript text is sent when you explicitly request cloud improvement.
When cloud improvement is enabled, the backend may use OpenAI to refine transcripts, generate summaries, and extract action items. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to their privacy policy and processing terms.
If you download optional Whisper language models for offline transcription, those models are downloaded from Hugging Face over HTTPS and stored locally on your device.
Transcrible does not collect analytics or usage data by default. If that changes in a future release, the privacy disclosures will be updated before rollout.
You can disable cloud improvement at any time in the app settings. Deleting the app from your device removes locally stored data. If you have used cloud features and need help with server-side deletion requests, contact us directly.
